Thinking of you and your precious mom today. / Marguerite Ward Mom To Angel Brandi (Angel Mom )
Dear Lisa,
Your Holly has forever touched my heart. The gathering in Lake Lure was a time I will never forget. I feel we all share a bond that will never be broken. It was a weekend of remembrance and inspiration and gave me hope for the future without my beloved Brandi. I'd like to think Holly and Brandi have met in Heaven and are looking down on us and smiling!!
When I first started looking at memorial sites, your Holly's touched my very soul. Maybe it was because she and my Brandi had so much in common. They both were very vivacious and outgoing girls who were struck down early in life by challenges that finally overtook them. They never lost their determination and faith even though they had so many challenges. Their bravery was like no other and they are and always will be heros in my life.
As I reread her memorial site, I found that Holly and Brandi shared even more than I thought. They both had beloved sisters named Jamie/Jaime even if the names were spelled differently. They both had minature schnauzers they adored. Brandi found her's at the pound when she was in college. We said she was Abby with a "Abbitude" because of her feisty ways but my Brandi loved her so. She has been a source of comfort and companionship for me since Brandi's passing. Brandi also was a athlete in school and loved volleyball and basketball. They both suffered from brain damage...Holly's from a accident and Brandi's from brain cancer and surgery. Their determination and will to live and their bravery were inspiring to so many. And...unfortunately the horrible seizures eventually took them away from us. I take comfort in knowing however that their passing was peaceful and they are once again healthy and whole enjoying the majesty of Heaven.
As their moms, we must continue to make them proud of us by making the best of the life we have left without them in it. It is not easy but we must continue where they left off. How lucky we were to have been their moms and how very proud they made us. I take comfort in knowing that one day we will be reunited and what a wonderful day that will be.
I am so glad we met and I will treasure our time together. You have a very special place in my treasure chest of friends.
Until we meet again.....May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, And the rains fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Love, Marguerite
